-Homework in parenthesis means that some students may need to finish it. Not all.

-Homework goes home each day and is due back on the following school day.

-Students record assignments and reminders in a planner, which are kept in their binders.

-Generally students are expected to complete up to 40 minutes of homework each day, and then 15 minutes of independent reading.

-Friday folders go home at the end of each week. You will see two numbers in the box for this week: one for revisions (what the student needs to fix) and one for missing work. So a notation of R4/M1 means your child has four pieces of revisions to do and 1 missing assignment for the week. Please keep all work in the back pocket at home, sign the box for the week, and have your child return it on Monday with all revisions completed.

-Reading logs are sent home weekly. These should be completed each school night after at least 15 minutes of reading. Please leave reading logs in your child's binder. Completed logs should be turned in the following Monday to allow for weekend "catch-up" or extra reading.
