Meet Ms. Ferranti...
This is my eighth year as an elementary teacher. I have taught
first, second, third, and fourth grades in New York City, Detroit, and
Ann Arbor. I am now enjoying my third year teaching here at Sunset
in Issaquah. I have a B.A. in psychology from Yale University and
an M.A. in education from the University of Michigan.
I have a special interest in teaching with technology, particularly
after having completed the Issaquah Technology Project last year.
I also serve as the fourth grade representative on the Sunset technology
committee.
Another passion of mine is theatre, and I am looking forward to my
second year of coaching the drama club. For more information,
check out the Sunset Players page.
When I am not at Sunset, I am usually found reading, hiking with my
husband Jonathan, playing
with our two cats, Nyli and Temi, or
spending time with friends and family. A native of Michigan, but
with family spread all over Canada and the U.S., I fortunately enjoy
traveling as well. My weaknesses include anything involving
chocolate or Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
