"Pioneer Toy Project" In this age of high tech toys, I wanted students to have the experience of making their own pioneer toy. A pioneer child might only have a few precious toys vs. children of today with a room full of toys. A Corn Husk Doll or Jacob's Ladder would have been a prized possession of a lucky pioneer child. Students have selected one of the pioneer toy projects: Jacob's Ladder, Magic Wallet, Corn Husk Doll, or Apple Doll. They have seen examples of each project and received directions. Projects need to be completed by Friday, June 6th. Each student should be prepared to present their toy to the class and explain how they make it.
