Curriculum and Homework Specifics

Welcome to Ms. Snyder's third grade classroom.  There are some important ideas/concepts that you and your student need to know.

    1) This classroom functions and operates as a community, each and everyone of us are citizens of this community and have roles and responsibilities to promote a safe and inviting learning environment for all.

    2) Students are taught to be accountable for their own behavior and learning choices.

Below are some of the basic expectations of the students, parents, and teacher.  Everyone is expected to honor their expectations and respect themselves and others.

Classroom behaviors are monitored through use of "behavior levels."

Student Expectations	1. Try my hardest   2. Listen actively   3. Come ready to learn   4. Communicate clearly and      thoughtfully   5. I will remember that mistakes     are for learning   6. Respect others and myself   7. Reflect a positive attitude I Will Succeed!
Parent/Family Expectations	1. I will be supportive and take an     active interest in my  child's     learning  2. Check in with my child      regarding homework and look at      his/her assignment calendar      daily  3. Communicate clearly and      thoughtfully  4. Listen actively  5. Reflect a positive attitude Be a Partner in Education!
Teacher Expectations	1. Meet students needs  2.Come ready to teach  3. Reflect a positive attitude  4. Respect students and parents  5. Communicate clearly and     thoughtfully  6. Listen actively I will do my best to provide fairness to all students. I will try to maximize benefit for the individual and minimize harm to all.  My goal is meet each students academic needs. I Will be a Fair Teacher!
